Draft is measured face by face against the pull axis, area-weighted so a few sliver faces don't skew the number; undercuts are found by scanning for geometry no straight pull can release, each one flagged with its volume and location.
X, Y, and Z are each scored on undercut volume, draft rework, and mold footprint, so you pick the parting line before the tool's built, not after.
The flow path from the best gate location is measured against the resin's spiral-flow limit; when it's short, the gate count that would fix it comes with the finding — plus the last-to-fill spots that need a vent.
Clamp tonnage sets the cavity count, the mold prices off the same block-and-machining model as the rest of the suite, and the should-cost curve shows exactly where the tooling pays for itself.
