<h1>Cookie Policy</h1>
  <p class="updated">Last updated: 3 August 2026</p>

  <h2>What we use</h2>
  <p>We keep this to a minimum. Today the site and app use only strictly-necessary
    and functional storage; we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking
    cookies. If that ever changes, non-essential cookies are set <b>only after
    you consent</b>.</p>

  <table>
    <tr><th>Category</th><th>Examples</th><th>Set by default?</th></tr>
    <tr><td>Strictly necessary</td><td>Sign-in session token, security, load balancing</td><td>Yes — exempt from consent</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Functional</td><td>Currency &amp; theme preference, your consent choice (stored in your browser)</td><td>Yes — remembers your choices</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Analytics</td><td>Self-hosted Umami on our own servers. Cookieless — nothing is stored on your device and no data is shared with any third party. Runs only after you opt in.</td><td>No — consent required</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Marketing</td><td>None</td><td>No — we don’t use them</td></tr>
  </table>

  <h2>Managing your choice</h2>
  <p>Use the <b>“Cookie settings”</b> link in the site footer to accept, reject,
    or change categories at any time. You can also clear cookies and local
    storage in your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential categories does not
    break the site.</p>

  <h2>Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control</h2>
  <p>Where required, we treat a recognised opt-out signal (e.g. Global Privacy
    Control) as a request to reject non-essential categories.</p>
