## Frequently asked questions

#### Can I get manufacturability feedback before we've decided how the part will be made?

General DFM issues get flagged on any uploaded part before a process is picked. The ordering is the point. By the time a manufacturability review normally happens, a process and often a supplier are already chosen, the tooling conversation has started, and the fix has stopped being cheap. Findings that arrive first are findings you can still act on.

#### I don't know casting or forging well enough to read a DFM report — will I understand the findings?

Each finding names the rule that caught it, and each process verdict names the constraint that drove it. You read a named reason rather than a score out of ten. A hot spot the risers will not feed, a face with no draft to release the pattern — that is a specific question you can put to a supplier or an engineer without knowing casting yourself.

#### Do I have to re-upload the part to move into the machining or casting tool?

The part, its context, and the findings so far carry into the specialist module on the same job. Moving from a screening verdict into a machining or a casting quote is a panel switch on the upload you already made, not a second upload into a second tool. The geometry, the features, and the flags travel with it.

#### If it flags an issue, does that mean the part can't be made?

A flagged finding is a screening result, not a verdict on the part.
